The Weekend Watchlist: New Releases for 2023
What is a new year without a host of new movies, and 2023 is full of surprises, so we thought we should give you a heads up on what is to come from the red carpet this year!
⭐Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
The story begins with a thief and a group of adventurers who go on a epic journey to find a missing relic. Things quickly go down hill when they make enemies of the wrong people. Starring actors Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, and many more! - In cinemas March 3rd 2023.
⭐The Super Mario Bros. Movie
Mario and his friends are faced with danger from Bowser who is trying to take over the world, to protect themselves and the rest of the galaxy they must defeat Bowser and return everything to balance.- In cinemas April 7th 2023.
⭐Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3
Still reeling from the loss of Gamora, Peter Quill gathers his team to defend the universe and one of their own - a mission that could mean the end of the Guardians if not successful. - In cinemas May 5th 2023.
⭐Fast X
Unfortunately, there isn't much known about the plot for this movie, which makes it all the more exciting! - In cinemas May 19th 2023.
⭐The Little Mermaid
The live action of the classic is finally here! If you've never heard of the Little Mermaid, firstly , where have you been? Secondly, it is about a young mermaid who makes a deal with a sea witch, to trade her beautiful voice for human legs so she can discover the world above water and impress a prince. - In cinemas May 26th 2023.
⭐Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure where they are faced with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered. - In cinemas June 2nd 2023.
⭐Transformers: Rise of the Beasts
At the moment the plot is unknown. But from the trailer we can see a host of robotic animals along side the main transformers. We are super excited to see where the next chapter of transformers will take us! - In cinemas 9th June 2023.
⭐The Flash
Again, the mystery here is one of the most exciting parts! The plot is currently unknown. Based on the comic book superhero, The Flash, we see an equally familiar character in the sneak peak trailer of a very familiar bat figure. - In cinemas 16th June 2023.
⭐Barbie
Not much is known about this new Barbie movie, other than it is live action, filled with pink, and the miraculous Margot Robbie is playing the iconic Barbie, along side Ryan Gosling who is playing Ken. - In cinemas 21st July 2023.
⭐The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes
The new addition to the much loved Hunger Games franchise is a prequel, where Coriolanus Snow mentors and develops feelings for the female District 12 tribute during the 10th Hunger Games. - In cinemas 17th November 2023.
⭐Wonka
Another prequel to add to the list! In Wonka we follow young Willy Wonka on an adventure where he first meets the Oompa Loompas. In cinemas 15th December 2023.
